Program Description

Event Details

Is your library ready for the 2024 election? A panel of library directors and staff from Allegheny County libraries will discuss how they are ensuring their library stays a welcoming, respectful space, even in turbulent political times. The discussion will cover library policies, first amendment issues, supporting library staff in difficult patron interactions, and requirements for nonprofits to stay nonpartisan. There will be a Q&A.

This session qualifies for 1 CE hour. Complete the evaluation survey within 30 days to get CE credit ( https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2W6WLGW ). Please allow 1 week after completing the survey to receive your certificate.

This session will be recorded and posted on the ACLA wiki. Completing the survey after viewing the recording will also qualify for CE credit.
